Bitter Ends Summer Sailabration" Week Takes Family Vacationing to a Whole New Level.

Sail Caribbean Summer Sailabration Week, a family-themed weeklong celebration of watersports, sailing and the Caribbean, kicks off on August 7 at Bitter End Yacht Club, the worlds premier watersports and sailing destination in the British Virgin Islands.

(PRWEB) June 14, 2004 -- Throughout the week, the instructional team from Sail Caribbean, an educational sail and scuba camp for teens, joins together with Bitter End Yacht Clubs world-class watersports program.

Bitter Ends certified sailing staff and Sail Caribbeans instructors welcome younger sailors and work side-by-side with them throughout the week, teaching them the finer points of keelboat and dinghy sailing, windsurfing, tubing and other watersports. In addition, planned snorkel trips and scuba dives depart daily to select destinations that are safe and shallow enough for younger swimmers to experience the thrill of watching underwater life right along with mom and dad.

Shoreside, families are invited to compete in daily beach games, including a beach obstacle course and tug-of-war, for prizes. In the evenings, members of Bitter Ends watersports staff and guests dine together at family-crew dinners."

These family-crew dinners are a highlight for the kids," said Gordo Overing, guest activities director for Bitter End. Its a chance for our younger guests to hang out with the pros and have an awesome time -- its cool and definitely an experience special to Bitter End."

During evenings throughout the week, younger guests are invited to take kids-only" cruises under the stars and then watch age-appropriate movies in the Sand Palace, Bitter Ends outdoor movie theater.

For the more competitive-spirited guests, the highlight of the week is the North Sound Laser Relay Rally, a point-to-point Laser rally that requires more than just sailing acumen to win the race. Teams of parents and kids race around key areas in the North Sound by sailboat, while collecting secret items on a treasure hunt along the way.

When schools out for summer, more families are looking for a fabulous vacation that the whole family can enjoy," said Ross Justice, managing director of Bitter End Yacht Club. And Summer Sailabration Week has just the right mix of sun, fun and relaxation to keep mom and dad happy, as well as the kids."

Five times throughout the year, Bitter End teams up with Sail Caribbean for its family-themed weeks, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Presidents week, Easter and Summer Sailabration Week. There is no additional charge to participate in any of the Sail Caribbean Weeks activities; the weeks programs are included in the regular Admirals Family Package. Families traveling during the Summer Sailabration may also take advantage of great rates on additional rooms for other family members, and children five years old and under stay free when sharing a room with parents.
