MTV uses HI-POD to capture celebrity red carpet arrivals at Movie Awards 2004.

Culver City, CA (PRWEB) June 11, 2004 -- MTV hosted its 13th annual Movie Awards - the end-all, be-all destination for fans of the world's biggest movie, TV, and music stars.

The newest star at the event was not actually on the red carpet but above it. HI-POD, the Xtreme Camera Monopod, was used to videotape the celebrity red-carpet arrivals.

Towering at its full extension of 15 feet high, the HI-POD grabbed amazing arrival footage, even though it was positioned in back of the pool of press photographers.

According to Official MTV HI-POD operator Bill Sloyer "I was amazed at how smooth and easy the HI-POD was to operate. I used it like a crane, by performing sweeping moves over the crowd. The shots came out great, and I literally learned how to use it this morning!"
