Certified Organic Food & Products Market

With the launch of Vibrant Markets, the only Organic Market in Sydney, Australia to be recognised by the Biological Farmers Association as having a formal organic policy, shoppers for organic food and products can now be assured of the status of their groceries.

(PRWEB) June 12, 2004 -- The Biological Farmers of Australia (www.bfa.com.au), one of Australia's largest representative organic bodies, has endorsed Vibrant Markets. In the words of Dr Andrew Monk, CEO of the BFA...

"Vibrant Markets are the first market in Sydney to have a formal policy which allows the sale of organic produce only where it is independently certified. The BFA welcomes this policy as part of ensuring that consumers of organic products are protected and assured that what they are purchasing is indeed truly organic. The certification programme, which applies to farmers and processors alike, is a rigorous programme that ensures compliance to the Organic Standard.

The BFA recognises the work that Vibrant Markets has done to date to ensure that only certified produce is sold where there are market claims as to organic status and wishes them well as the first Sydney markets to do so."

Some of the highlights of Vibrant Markets traders include:

·Be Organic, with certified organic fresh fruit, vegetables & packaged goods,
·Sam the Butcher, with certified organic meat, poultry, dairy and eggs,
·La Tartine with certified organic sourdough breads, and
·Organic Delights which stocks all those certified organic treats, like chocolate and licorice to non-alcoholic wine and pancake mixes, and much, much more.

Also available at the market is organic skin care, hair care, coffee, tea, cotton towels and sheets, a natural cleaning products range, handmade arts & crafts and a range of wellness practitioners.

According to market founder Danielle Neill, I decided to start a certified organic fresh food market when I realised there was nothing else like it in Sydney. There are other markets around but they all include both organic and non-organic food, so customers are never quite sure of what they are buying".

"I really believe that customers are looking for fresh and packaged foods that are certified in both their origin and preparation. Customers prefer to shop knowing that all their everyday food needs are certified organic. At Vibrant Markets, I have already done the hard work of ensuring that the stall holders are supplying only certified produce and products."
