Josh Dodes, Popular NYC Funk-Rock Pianist/Singer/Songwriter, to Play Farewell Show, Shift Focus to Writing and Session Work
After 9 Years, Popular NYC Funk-Rock Pianist/Singer/Songwriter Josh Dodes Wraps Up Performing Career with Farewell Show; Plans to Focus on Writing and Session Work.
(PRWEB) June 12, 2004 -- After nine years, popular NYC funk-rock pianist/singer/songwriter Josh Dodes (VH1's "Bands on the Run," etc.) has decided to end his performing career. In an email sent to his band's national mailing list this week, Dodes wrote:
"While I'm planning to increase my focus on songwriting and any interesting sideman/session work that may come along--in fact, I'd love to know of people who have connections in either capacity--this is basically the end of the line for me in terms of performing my own material.
I think it's possible that I/we may continue to perform very occasionally (particularly college and private shows), but in case we don't, we have decided to play one final show where we started, at the Bitter End in NYC. The show will be free, as we would love the chance to say goodbye to as many as you as possible.
FAREWELL SHOW:
Friday, July 9, 9:00 PM
THE BITTER END, NEW YORK, NY
147 Bleecker St. (between Thompson and Laguardia), (212) 673-7030
TWO SETS - full band
NO COVER CHARGE
