New LE MINI SENSOR - Self Protecting Hot Air Tool

New dimensions in hot air tool technology with integrated tool and heating element protection built into a Mini hot air tool.

Farmingdale NJ (PRWEB) June 13, 2004 -- STAR Process Heat Systems LLC announces the new Mini Sensor process heater from LEISTER Technologies. The Mini Sensor offers new dimensions in hot air technology with integrated tool and heating element protection built into the compact heater. The slim cylindrical design for use with compressed air is ideal for riveting as well as concentrated drying, hot air staking, quality checks, sterilizing and welding.

The Mini Sensor hot air temperature can be steplessly controlled from ambient to maximum 1382°F/750°C. Heating capacity range is 400/800 watts. Maximum pressure is 0.2Mpa with minimum air flow of .35CFM/10LPM. The Converter supplied complete with Mini Sensor allows standard interface to a controller for high grade process control with alarm out feature.

As opposed to ultrasonic riveting, thermal riveting can be used for problem-free metal/plastic bonding as no vibrating tools come into contact with the process area, which may impair the bonding. Thermal riveting achieves a very high joint quality, particularly for difficult plastics such as POM or PAGF which tend to brittle during ultrasonic riveting.

STAR Process Heat Systems is an authorized sales and service center for LEISTER hot air tools. For more information contact 877-782-7747 or email us at starphs@starphs.com.
