Castle Howard to Get Broadband Service

Langreen Ltd to supply wireless broadband service to the major tourist attraction, Castle Howard Estate, as well as the surrounding communities

Staines, UK (PRWEB) June 14, 2004 -- Staines, UK based wireless broadband service provider, Langreen Ltd has announced that it is to supply its broadband service to the Castle Howard Estate and its surrounding communities.

Castle Howard is one of Britains finest stately homes, located in the beautiful Howardian Hills just northeast of York. The house and grounds are a major tourist attraction and receives around 200,000 visitors annually from all over the world.

In addition to providing broadband to the House and Estate Office, Langreen Ltd will offer service to the Easthorpe Business Park and the surrounding villages of Bulmer, Coneysthorpe, Ganthorpe, Cranbeck and Welburn. Langreen will also create wireless hot spots" on the Castle Howard Estate in the café area and the camping and caravan site. These wireless hot spots" will allow those visitors with a wireless capability (WiFi) on their laptops to be able to gain internet access via the Langreen broadband service.

The Langreen service will allow residential users in these communities to receive service with speeds up to 512 Kbps upload and download. Business users throughout the area will also get 512 Kbps upload but will have a choice of 1Mbps or 2Mbps download.
