Travis Taylor of the Baltimore Ravens to host celebrity basketball game during Super Bowl Week to benefit the homeless

The Travis Taylor Super Slam Celebrity Basketball Game will bring sports and entertainemnt stars together for a fun filled atmosphere to raise money for a worthy cuase.

Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) June 13, 2004 -- Genesis Marketing and Promotions, LLC, a sports marketing and public relations firm located in Boca Raton, Florida will be producing the Travis Taylor Super Slam Celebrity in Jacksonville, Florida as part of the festivities surrounding Super Bowl XXVIX. The purpose of the Super Slam is to raise money for the homeless as well as Jacksonville Ribault High School, the alma mater of Travis Taylor, a wide receiver of the Baltimore Ravens.

The Travis Taylor Super Slam Celebrity Basketball Game will feature stars from the NFL as well as entertainers from the music and film industries. Invited celebrities include Terrell Owens of the Eagles, Peerless Price of the Falcons, Jamal Lewis of the Ravens, actors Dwayne Martin (All of Us), Chris Spencer (The Sixth Man), Alex Thomas (Straight Clowin) actresses Gabriel Union, (Bad Boy II), and Vivica A. Fox, (Kill Bill) as well as R&B artists Usher and Avant.

Travis Taylor garnered national attention as a receiver at the University of Florida. In 1998 he was named MVP of the Orange Bowl hauling in 7 catches for 159 yards and two touchdowns to defeat the Syracuse Orangemen. The following year he gave another outstanding performance and was name MVP of the Citrus Bowl. This time Travis reeled in 11 passes for 156 and three touchdowns. With his big play ability, Travis bypassed his senior year and was selected with the 10th pick overall by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2000 NFL draft. The 2004-2005 NFL season will mark his fifth year with the Ravens. Travis spends his off-season in Jacksonville, Florida.

Over the past two years, Genesis Marketing and Promotions, LLC and publicist Rohan Sutherland has worked with various NFL athletes and entertainers, providing public relations, sports marketing and event production services. In 2002, Genesis produced the Terrell Owens Super Slam Celebrity Basketball Game as part of ther festivites surrounding the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
