Author is dying to tell you her nightmare from womb until present day. Through her website, her expose aims to educate the world about the dangers of exposing children to Secondhand Smoke.

A wonderful web site dedicated to the protection of children from second-hand smoke, by an adult childhood survivor who has been smoking "passively" since the womb.

Miami, Florida June, 15, 2004 -- Author D.A. Colvin is giving away a free copy of her new book "Blow Out The candles Dear" on her new website to educate the public of the dangers of smoking around children

She has created "notperfume.com" (http://www.notperfume.com), the home of SKY, Smoking Kills Youth. A site devoted specifically to the protection of children from second-hand smoke. Her web site and book provides information regarding her lung condition that she emphatically states was caused by exposure to Environmental Tobacco Smoke as a child and young adult. Colvin is the niece of the late famous Marimba BandLeader Julius Wechter. The famous Marimba player died of Lung Cancer in the late 1990's. Colvin has a message for the music and entertainment industry as well as a message for parents and adults worldwide. "It's time that children stop being exposed to Environmental Tobacco Smoke, also known as "Secondhand Smoke". As a child, loved ones smoked both cigarettes and cigars in her presence on a regular basis. She complained but to no avail. Now they are dead and gone and she is left with a painful reminder.

"Second hand smoke is a major cause of children's illness -- yet 85% of adults who smoke and who live with a child do not ensure that the child is not exposed to the smoke from their cigarettes." She quotes the Physicians for A Smoke-Free Canada. My horrible nightmare as a victim of second-hand smoke began in the womb and continues to this day. She provides resources as well as has written a book entitled "Blow Out The Candles Dear A Story of One Childs Survival to Secondhand Smoke" that is available as an e-book on her site "I have to promote this book and share my story, educating the world about the dangers of smoking, especially in front of a child and using someone like me as a "poster child", illustrating what happens when you smoke in front of a child. My life has been literally ruined and turned upside down from involuntarily being exposed to second-hand smoke and I want more than anything to show the world why it's so important to spare children this painful agony. "Despite the junk science from the tobacco companies and their rhetoric, there is ample evidence to prove the dangers of second hand smoke and I am a living example". Had there been certain education, books and potential laws in place when I was a child, I would not be suffering today. I come from a long line of dead smokers who have left me a painful legacy; No one wants to talk about it! But I do and it's time for people to know the truth!

Colvin is looking for people to volunteer their skills, ideas, and creativity, anyone who is interested in mobilizing in this campaign should visit her site. You can visit the site, "notpferume.com" as it is already officially launched. Colvin invites everyone who is passionate about this issue to check out the great health related content on her web site and order her book, part of the proceeds goes towards keeping children safe from second hand smoke. To go to notperfume.com, simply type "http://www.notperfume.com" into your web browser.
