On Tuesday, June 15th, 2004, at 2PM EST, the Cynthia McKinney For Congress website (http://www.cynthiaforcongress.com) will present a special webcast address, delivered by Cynthia McKinney, on the subject of Hip-Hop culture; issues affecting the Hip-Hop generation, community and industry; and her five-point Hip-Hop platform. Cynthia McKinney, now a candidate for the Fourth District Of Georgia's Congressional seat, made history when she offered a full-fledged Hip-Hop platform while a Member of the United States Congress.

"Hip-Hop culture is one of the greatest influences on the thinking and behavior of young people in America and all over the world. Everyday I see its impact and potential for good right here in DeKalb County, Georgia.

"For years I have worked with those committed to making Hip-Hop a constructive vehicle for social change, economic empowerment, and political consciousness. Soon, it will be a Hip Hop World. I care what kind of world the Hip Hop Generation inherits. I know they do, too. I want to work with them to make sure that world is a peaceful one that values justice.

"My webcast address further lays out my vision and continues my commitment to the interests, issues and concerns of the residents of the Fourth District of Georgia," says Cynthia McKinney, of the relevance of her historic June 15th address.
