Canada Goes to the World Championship of Public Speaking
Rob Nickel of Grand River Toastmasters in Cambridge, Ontario will be Competing in the World Championship of Public Speaking in Reno Nevada in August 2004
(PRWEB) June 15, 2004 -- On June 12, 2004, Rob Nickel competed in East Lansing, Michigan in the Toastmasters International Annual Motivational, Inspirational Speech Contest. This was the fifth phase of the competion that began earlier this year at his home club Grand River Toastmasters in Cambridge, Ontario. Mr. Nickel has now won at the Club, Area, Division, District and Region competitions. For the first four phases of the competition Mr. Nickel was able to use the same speech. For this fifth phase he was required to create a totally new speech from scratch. He will now be competing in the World Championship of Public Speaking in Reno Nevada in August 2004. Now that he has advanced to the World Competition he will be required to create a third world class speech! Toastmasters International (www.toastmasters.org)has over 9,300 clubs in over 80 countries with more than 195,000 members worldwide. Only 8 of these individuals will be going to Reno to compete for the title of World Champion. Good luck Rob!
