This press release describes an urgent need for blankets and bedding on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota

Do-Gooder International (http://www.do-gooder.org) is sending out an Urgent Need Alert asking donators to send blankets, cots, sleeping bags, and other bedding supplies to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Through a professional affiliation with the non-profit organization, Spirit Rising, Terry Lane, founder and director of Do-gooder International, has discovered that many people are sleeping on the floor, including the elderly and children, even babies. Spirit Rising has made a special arrangement with a furniture supply company to provide complete bed sets for under $300.00.

"Although it is summer now, the nights still get very cold," says Lane, adding "and autumn is just around the corner. There are elderly in their 80s and 90s sleeping on floors without blankets. Even an air mattress or sleeping bag would be better until they can get beds."
