Tradingpatterns.com announces the release of version 4.1 of APS Automatic Pattern Search

Tradingpatterns.com announces the release of version 4.1 of APS Automatic Pattern Search, a software program that discovers price patterns that fulfill user-defined performance criteria.

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 16, 2004 -- Tradingpatterns.com announces the release of version 4.1 of APS Automatic Pattern Search, a software program that discovers price patterns that fulfill user-defined performance criteria. With APS, traders specify the performance of the price patterns to look for in historical daily and intraday market data and the rest is done automatically by the program. The System Tracking function of APS monitors any trading signals generated by the identified price patterns. Another program function allows scanning a universe of securities for price patterns formed as of the close of the market, which fulfill the performance criteria specified by the user.

APS Automatic Pattern Search is based on "Forward Synthesis of Trading Systems", a concept pioneered by Tradingpatterns.com. Based on this novel approach, the desired performance of a trading system is specified in advance, followed by a search for a model that matches it. Version 4.1 includes an advanced algorithm for searching historical daily and intraday data for price patterns with a high historical profitability.
