Glue Steps It Up To Make It Happen For Athletes Again
GlueTeam Workshops will prepare student-athletes, coaches and parents for the next level. Topics are geared to provide necessary skills and resources to assist athletes in becoming well rounded contributors.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 17, 2004 -- Join other student-athletes, coaches, college and professional athletic program leaders and the members of GLUE Team for Stepping It Up To Make It Happen Again" on Sunday June 27th beginning at 3:00PM. Stepping It Up" is the second of three new, exciting workshops designed to expose invitees to various skills and resources in preparation for college-level program participation. Special guests for this workshop include NFL New England Patriot's Defensive player Tyrone Poole and Georgia Tech's Senior Associate Athletic Director, Mary McElroy. Confirmed workshop modules include (but are not limited to) NCAA Guidelines and Regulations, Marketing Yourself to Colleges as a Student-Athlete, Study Skills, and Financial Literacy. This event will be held at the Alonzo F. Herndon Community Center located at 448 Gray St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 (404 523 3002). All students, their parents, and coaches are welcome to attend.
Founded in 2003, GLUE, which is an acronym for Giving Love Unites Everyone, is a relatively new organization that is designed to work with evolving middle school and high school student-athletes as they pursue academic and athletic excellence. After spending over 15 years in corporate America, Rishal Stanciel founded GLUE as a non-profit organization to reach todays youth with a life transforming message. It is her prayer and that of GLUEs leadership team, that through its programming, young athletes will come to know the love and power of God through Jesus Christ, and fulfill their true purpose.
