World’s Top Telco's Select InfoValue to Provide Video Streaming Technology for Optical Networking Demonstration

The Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF) unveiled that video streaming software and expertise provided by InfoValue Computing will be used in the ForumÂ?s World Interoperability Demonstration. This unique event streams videos with a broad range of quality levels over optical networks connecting the world's leading telecommunications carriers across three continents, including AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, and Verizon, as well as the OIF's SuperComm demo at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

InfoValue's QuickVideo product suite is a powerful, scalable software based solution that provides interactive, quality-guaranteed streaming on-demand playback of standards-based, high-quality video using off-the-shelf hardware. The QuickVideo product suite supports standards-based video formats including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and HDTV as well as Microsoft media format and others.

With open architecture and interfaces, QuickVideo allows the carriers to easily stream video to showcase their interoperability. InfoValue provided the expertise required to deploy video streaming over the optical network.
