(PRWEB) June 19, 2004 -- On Friday June 18th, 2004 from 7PM-midnight New York radio station WBAI will be hosting an appreciation party for its volunteers and listeners to thank them for the support they have shown over the years. The party will be held at Pier 63, Chelsea Pier @ 23rd Street.

The live music for the evening will be provided by the twelve piece orchestra, Hai Rezolution conducted by Dwight Brewster, one of Latin musics premiere pianist and band leaders. Writer and producer on many recordings including one of the all time mambo classics Jazzy recorded on Willie Colons first album El Malo.

Coming out of New York, Hai Rezolution is the first African American salsa band to successfully combine elements of mambo, jazz and R&B. Featuring the vocals of Ms Sherry Scott the original female member of Earth, Wind and Fire singing among other favorites, her top forty hit, I Think About Loving You.

Currently on tour doing many of the summer world music and jazz festivals across the country, they have a proven record as a solid dance band inspiring dancers to dance the night away. They will be musically working their special blend of music that is driving dancers wild.

This event will be free of charge. No vendors are allowed.

At the turn table will be Jeannie Hopper from Liquid Sound Lounge and Bernard White, Program Director/Wakeup Call.
