(PRWEB) June 21, 2004 -- The City of Longmont will be recognized for its quality of life in the July/August 2004 issue of Business Development OUTLOOK magazine. The magazine, a publication of Dallas-based World Economic Development Alliance (WEDA), annually issues its "Q-32 Awards," highlighting 32 locations around the country that offer outstanding quality of life.

For the eighth year, the magazine has compiled Q-32 Awards data from information originally gathered by Sperling's Best Places (www.bestplaces.net) that examine various quality-of-life factors for each area, including housing, recreation, culture, affordability, drive times, crime, etc. The 2004 awards will be featured as a cover story in the upcoming issue of Business Development OUTLOOK.

"We're very pleased to have been honored by Business Development OUTLOOK, and take great pride in knowing that they recognize what many of us have long known about Longmont -- that it is a great place to live, and do business," noted John Cody, CED, the president and CEO of the Longmont Area Economic Council. "We hope that this exposure will help inform and educate others about all Longmont has to offer."

Business Development OUTLOOK's mission is to put expanding or relocating companies in touch with professionals that can assist them. The publication has been recognized as the fastest-growing magazine in its field for the past ten years, and works to educate and decision-makers who initiate and finalize decisions regarding relocation and expansion for their organizations.
