LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) June 19, 2004 --- The first Rock for the River" concert will be held on Friday, July 2nd, 2004 at the Clayton Opera House to benefit the Save the River! organization.

Jay Nash, a Los Angeles musician by way of Syracuse, New York, is making his homecoming in a big way. Nash spent most of his summers playing guitar in the 1000 Islands area and considers it home. He has been involved with Save the River! for the last five years, from River Day in the summer of 2000, which featured a few local musicians performing acoustic sets.

Nash approached Save the River! with the idea for an entire night of great music to raise awareness for the organization and its cause. The result was Rock for the River." Joining him for this concert will be 1000 Islands native Eliza Moore, as well as other favorites on the L.A. independent music scene -- the bennett cale project, Gabriel Mann, Paper Sun and Joe Purdy.

Advance tickets can be ordered through www.savetheriver.org for $20. Tickets will also be available at the door for $27. The Clayton Opera House is located at 403 Riverside Drive in Clayton, New York.
