Publishamerica Donates Books to Compassion in the Streets
PublishAmerica of Frederick, MD, donated books for a book sale to benefit Compassion in the Streets work. Compassion in the Streets is a homeless mission in Tennessee
Frederick, MD (PRWEB) June 20, 2004 -- PublishAmerica is proud to announce that it has donated books from several authors to Compassion in the Streets, a homeless and shut-in ministry in the Memphis, Tennessee area.
When approached by Pastor Howard Alperin, PublishAmerica was quick to answer the call. Pastor Alperin requested any books that publishers could provide for sale at a book sale to raise funds for the cause. PublishAmerica selected 45 books to send to Pastor Alperin and Compassion in the Streets. Some of the books selected include, A Child of the King, by Joanne Marsh; Chasing Horses, by Christy French; and A Lion in the Snow, by Randall Bell.
Miranda N. Prather stated, PublishAmerica is always quick to answer the call of charities. We feel it is part of our civic responsibility to donate items and services to such worthy causes. PublishAmerica considers it an honor to have had a small part in the work of Compassion in the Streets."
A traditional publishing company, PublishAmerica pays advances and royalties while offering a distinct alternative to authors who would most likely be overlooked by larger, more commercial publishers simply due to their lack of experience in the industry. Most of PublishAmerica's books are written by new and previously undiscovered talent. More details about PublishAmerica and our books are available at www.publishamerica.com.
