Tattoo shop for pets opened.

In the Netherlands, the country where everything from prostitutes till marijuana was already permitted, now also a tattoo shop for pets was opened. In here you can get your pet decorated for a small fee.

(PRWEB) June 20, 2004 -- In Holland, three friends decided to open a tattoo shop where you can get your pet decorated for a small fee. De shop opened 'not so long ago' according to their website (in dutch) which is at http://www.pettoos.tk.

Under the name of "The Pettoo's Shop" they opened their business, which is not much like a real tattoo shop. The company offers places to sleep for your pets, and can also come to tattoo on location, for the bigger pets. For reptiles, spray-paint jobs are available but not all animals are possible, the websites mentions fish as an example.

The three friends claim to have tattoo's quite a few pets for their friends and family, which are all said to be satisfied customers.

It is not surprising that this is possible in the Netherlands, as things like prostitution and marijuana are known to have been freely available already for many years. Also is it possible to buy a bike from a drugaddict for a few bucks in Amsterdam.

The company apparantly decided to start small, with a lycos hosted website and a free .tk domain name, instead of commercial websites with professional email adresses.

They do suit their email address: inkyourpet@yahoo.com . "We feel that this is a product that should be available on the market", states the website in Dutch. Rumours go around that the dutch federation for protection of animals ( http://www.dierenbescherming.nl ) has been informed.

Update June 23, 2004: The website has been updated, and it all turned out to be a big practical joke by weblogger Hoo Hoo Nick ( http://hoohoonick.blogspot.com ). He claims to have ended the joke because some friends wanted to take it too far and take a guinea-pig on a TV show, only to tattoo the TV channel's logo on it. Hoo Hoo Nick believes that the guinea-pig deal is an attempt to pull a joke on him, however, he took the site offline in case it isn't a joke.
