The tagline enables us to convey a sense of location while connoting the exciting technology environment that exists here in Western Mass," said Paul Tangredi, Chairman of the Board for the Regional Technology Corporation (RTC). The tagline works to spread awareness to Boston-based companies to establish their manufacturing operations 90 minutes down the Pike instead of the Research Triangle or Northern New Jersey. The business attraction objective isnt the only one satisfied by the new tag line. RTC also initiates business development activities on behalf of its 110 member companies. The EDC-affiliated RTC formed last July as the successor of the Regional Technology Alliance, Mass Ventures and Telitcom. The three networks TEC, BETA and MMTN, which were loosely affiliated at the time, ultimately moved to come together under the RTC umbrella, sharing staff and other resources.
