Libertarian Presidential Candidate to Visit the San Francisco Bay Area

Michael Badnarik to participate in the SF LGBT Pride Parade and other local events.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PRWEB) June 20, 2004 -- Michael Badnarik, the Libertarian Party's Nominee for President of the United States of America, will be coming to the Bay Area next week to meet Bay Area residents, supporters, and the media. The public is welcome at all events.

The Badnarik Campaign will be sponsoring an East Bay fundraising event at 7:00 PM on Friday June 25, 2004 at Westover Vinyards, 34329 Palomares Road in Castro Valley. Westover Vinyards is the site where two-time Presidential candidate Harry Browne first announced his plans to seek the Libertarian Party's presidential nomination in 1994. Westover Vinyards are located on a lovely Spanish-style estate nestled in the picturesque Palomares Canyon with beautiful courtyards and a huge selection of award-winning wines, ports, champagnes and sherry. Nearly one dozen 2004 Libertarian candidates, including Badnarik, will be present. General admission is $20, and reservations are requested; guests paying a "Chat Admission" of $100 will spend some quality time with Michael away from the crowd.

On Saturday, June 26, Mr. Badnarik will be speaking at a campaign dinner and fundraiser in the beautiful Carnelian Room, Chairman Suite, on the 51st Floor of the Bank of America Tower in San Francisco. Details on this event are at http://tinyurl.com/36s2w. Speakers will include Mike Denny, 2003 candidate for mayor of San Francisco. Reservations are required for the $250 per plate affair.

In addition, Mr. Badnarik is expected to be the only Presidential candidate riding in the 2004 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade, sponsored by the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, and Transgender community. The parade will start at 10:30 AM on Sunday, June 27 in downtown San Francisco, and will be televised live on KRON-TV, channel 4. Following the parade, Badnarik will be meeting voters at the booth of the Outright Libertarians of the San Francisco Bay Area (http://www.OutrightSF.org/) in Pride Plaza on Grove Street. There is no charge to attend Pride events.

Meetings with local organizations, civic leaders, the party faithful, and the media will fill out Mr. Badnarik's four-day swing around the Bay, from Friday through Monday, June 25-28.

Local media interested in interviews should contact Allen Hacker, California coordinator for the Badnarik/Campagna campaign at (650) 964-4488 or (650) 465-7387 (cell), or Richard Newell, Vice-Chair of the Outright Libertarians of the San Francisco Bay Area and media coordinator for the Libertarian Party of California at (408) 882-4785.
