Vibren Technologies Announces License Distribution Agreement for Macromedia Flash Player Deal Opens Market for Flash Capabilities in Embedded Systems

Vibren Technologies, a provider of embedded software engineering services, today announced a contract authorizing Vibren Technologies to license, distribute, and integrate Macromedia Flash Player into embedded devices.

Boxborough, MA (PRWEB) June 23, 2004 -- Vibren TechnologiesÒ, a provider of embedded software engineering services, today announced a contract authorizing Vibren Technologies to license, distribute, and integrate MacromediaÒ Flash PlayerÒ into embedded devices.    

Under terms of the agreement, Macromedia Flash Player can be purchased through Vibren to enable embedded system developers to include Flash in their devices. The agreement also provides for software engineering services from Vibren to integrate and verify Macromedia Flash Player into embedded systems ensuring on-time delivery and superior product quality.

This agreement will help expand the already growing market for Flash Player in consumer products." said Anup Murarka, senior director, Macromedia. "Vibren can work effectively to provide both the technology and the services expertise OEMs want to integrate Flash Player into their embedded devices."

Rising demand for rich content on embedded devices and the desire to build more sophisticated interfaces are the driving force behind the market acceptance of Macromedia Flash in the embedded space", said Tom DeSisto, vice president of business development, Vibren Technologies. This agreement will help expand Macromedia Flash Player usage into all types of embedded devices including PDAs, wireless and handheld systems, televisions and set top boxes, toys and other embedded devices."
