Relax...Naturally

Natural Relaxer Hair care product hits the market.

(PRWEB) June 23, 2004 -- In the African American community a subtle trend is taking place. More and more Black women are going back to natural hair. They are going back to natural styles that do not require the use of a chemical relaxer to make their hair straight. They want to avoid chemicals because of the harmful effects they have. And, they do not want their hair as straight as a chemical treatment makes it. But, for some, natural hair can be difficult to manage. There are many women who want something to take the tangles out of their hair, reduce breakage and make it softer. They do not want their hair straightened. They have been asking "Does a 100% natural, chemical free herbal relaxer really exist?" The answer is Yes, it does. Its called Natural-Laxer."

Baka International Enterprises LLC has imported an all natural herbal relaxer and hair treatment, to the Western World. Used in Africa for years and years, Brenda Searles discovered this hair treatment while on one of her trips to Africa. The product has been imported to the United States for about 13 years. But, with the recent increase in interest in natural hair and avoiding harsh chemicals, the product has been experiencing a sharp increase in interest. There have been several natural" relaxers marketed in the past few years. There have been, and there are, "natural relaxers" on the market that are not 100% natural. And, there have been unrealistic expectations about what a natural relaxer could do. This has caused great disappointment for a lot of women who have tried these products only to find they are as harsh or harsher than the chemicals they were trying to avoid. Or, the products simply didnt work the way they were supposed to. The Natural-Laxer is a 100% natural product that consists solely of a powder from the Daphne Gnidium, an evergreen indigenous to Africa and the Mediterranean.

The Natural-Laxer is 100% natural and chemical free. It acts as a hair strengthener and mild relaxer. The Natural-Laxer gently opens up the natural curl pattern making hair more manageable. Because it is non-caustic and mild, the Natural-Laxer is safe for home application and is an excellent alternative for young black or bi-racial children.

As more bi-racial children are born to mothers who are not used to managing African hair and as more interracial adoptions occur, the group of frustrated mothers grows. Treasured Locks is a black hair care website and distributes the Natural-Laxer. Treasured Locks reports that they receive many inquiries from mothers who dont know what to do with their daughters hair. They are tempted to put chemical relaxers in girls at very young ages. The Natural-Laxer is an alternative that allows those people to delay or completely avoid having to put a chemical relaxer in young childrens hair.

Another group of people that has found great benefit from the Natural-Laxer is those transitioning from permed hair to natural hair. This has been a difficult stage with limited options. Basically most women have had to decided to either cut off their relaxed hair and wear a TWA (teeny-weeny afro), have their hair braided or just deal with the inevitable breakage. Because the Natural-Laxer acts as a strengthener as well as a relaxer, it can help people move through this stage with a minimal amount of breakage, allowing those women who do not feel comfortable wearing very short hair to transition without losing their length. The Natural-Laxer is also finding many customers from other ethnics groups, such as Latinos, who want to provide more manageability to their hair.
