Leapstone Ports CCE contentMANAGER to IBM Operating Platform

Leapstone Systems today announced the general availability of its CCE contentMANAGER solution operating on IBM eServer* pSeries running the AIX* operating system and WebSphere* Application Server. Content Management Solution Generally Available on IBM eServer pSeries Running AIX Operating System and WebSphere Application Server

SOMERSET, NJ (PRWEB) June 23, 2004 -- Leapstone Systems today announced the general availability of its CCE contentMANAGER solution operating on IBM eServer* pSeries running the AIX* operating system and WebSphere* Application Server.

"Leapstone is excited about bringing our innovative content management solution to the powerful IBM WebSphere and AIX environments," said Rick Orriss, Leapstone's President and CEO. "We view support for an additional platform as an extension of our open, standards-based architecture strategy, and we remain committed to ensuring Leapstone customers can leverage their preferred technology platforms."

Leapstone's Communications Convergence Engine (CCE) products enable wireline, wireless and cable operators to design, package, deploy and manage a broad range of compelling content and services.

The CCE contentMANAGER is a must have for operators intent on delivering the widest variety of applications and content over broadband access networks at significantly reduced time and cost. It provides the flexibility for operators to incorporate content from multiple sources, while enabling their control of branding, packaging, pricing and quality of service. The CCE contentMANAGER contains powerful features to ensure content compatibility with subscriber devices, as well as built-in revenue reconciliation capabilities that minimize settlement process headaches.

The CCE serviceBROKER provides operators with the necessary tools to maximize the revenue potential of voice services over their next-generation networks. As a foundation for VoIP service deployment, the CCE serviceBROKER enables a portfolio of services to be delivered irrespective of underlying transport technologies. Its unique architectural approach optimizes service flexibility and speeds time to market, enabling operators to select best-in-class vendor offerings and package them for rapid delivery to different market segments. A port of Leapstone's CCE serviceBROKER to IBM technologies will be completed this summer.

"IBM is pleased to combine its leading technology platforms with Leapstone's suite of content management and service delivery solutions to facilitate success in the telecommunications industry," said Jim Rhyne, Distinguished Engineer eServer Tools Technology and Enterprise Modernization. "Together with Leapstone, we are helping operators deliver on the promise of their next-generation networks by making it easier to deploy an extensive range of compelling content and services."

Customer and market demand led Leapstone to undertake the CCE contentMANAGER port to the AIX and WebSphere technologies first. Leapstone currently is working on the port of its CCE serviceBROKER product to the same IBM operating platform, with general availability expected later this summer.

"We have a strong relationship with IBM and our willingness to bring our CCE products to their platforms is one important way in which we invest in them and our mutual customers," said Paul Shaneck, Leapstone's VP Sales and Business Development. "Our current support of AIX and WebSphere, combined with the business opportunities now available through our relationship with IBM, will enable us to continue delivering the industry-leading solutions network operators have come to expect from Leapstone."
