Dan Curtin, the local firm's Principal, and Executive Vice President of TR Anton Inc., is an expert in Employment Practices, Human Resource Management Practices, Unlawful Harassment and Employment Law Compliance. His practice is focused on providing proactive, professional, efficient approaches to human resources management, without the exorbitant cost expended by companies with in-house HR departments.
Mr. Curtin has over 30 years of human capital management experience in multiple industries, including manufacturing, sales and marketing, industrial equipment, non-profit organizations, aerospace, warehousing, transportation, consumer goods and retailing. He has built full service Human Resources functions from startup in organizations of up to 3000 employees, written employee handbooks, created policies and procedures, and has acted as retained HR Director for small and medium sized businesses. His previous assignments have included Borg Warner Automotive and Cargo Service Center North America, a KLM Airlines subsidiary in various executive Human Resources capacities.
Well-respected among the southland's top human resources professionals, Mr. Curtin has published articles in management publications, including one co authored with Professor Gerald Ferris of the University of Illinois, used in business graduate study programs at several major universities. He holds an MBA degree from Lewis University, Chicago, IL and a pending second master's degree in Organizational Management. He won recognition in 1999 for career "Excellence in Human Resources" from the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) in Los Angeles, and served on PIHRA's Board and Los Angeles District Chair. He is currently on the Board and Secretary of the PIHRA Foundation, the public service arm of PIHRA. He is also a member of one of the Los Angeles area Chambers of Commerce.
