Oikos Global, the maker of Oikos Game, announces an international contest for kids. Oikos Global Award aims to recognize children and youths who have done positive and worthwhile project to improve the emotional life of their peers.
ÂItÂs about time that we honor these motivated kids. While their peers are into parties, videos, and internet games, these kids are helping others and making their schools and communities a better place to live, says Dr. Michael Rayel, Oikos GameÂs inventor, a psychiatrist, and co-founder of Oikos Global.
This annual and international contest will honor and recognize kids and youths who have helped their peers deal with bullies, avoid street drugs and alcohol, improve communication among peers, establish support network, and reduce violence in school and community.
Dr. Gayzelle Meneses-Rayel, a pediatrician and co-founder of Oikos Global, says that the criteria are stringent and the competition will be tough because it will attract participants from all over the world. A committee consisting of professionals from various fields will be formed to serve as impartial judge. Individuals or organizations can participate in the contest.
ÂIn the end, the project with the best impact will be rewarded, says Dr. Meneses-Rayel.
The award consists of the following: First Prize: US$1,000.00, a certificate, and a medal; Second Prize: US$750.00, a certificate, and a medal; and Third Prize: US$500.00, a certificate, and a medal. Details about the contest can be obtained from Oikos GlobalÂs website (oikosglobal.com).
