S.H.A.E., by author Joel T. Benton, is a futuristic fiction novel based on some of these spiritual "what if" questions. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic earth, where an extremely evil ruler is slowly eradicating all humans that do not accept him as their god. One woman escapes his clutches and begins a desperate journey to find others who share her spiritual beliefs, as well as her desire to remove this leader from power. The novel is set to be released in July 2004.
