Content Tops List of Blogging Questions, According to WordBiz Survey

14% expressed concerns over business blog content: what to write about & how often

(PRWEB) June 24, 2004 -- When award-winning WordBiz Report asked marketers what their single most important question about blogging was, 14% expressed concerns over content. Nearly 9% were unsure of what to write about, while 5% wondered how often to update their blogs to keep the content fresh." More than 11% asked how they could use blogs to boost their profits and 3.5% wondered what the best software application for blogging was. 4% wanted to know what the heck a blog is.

Among the other diverse questions:
-Are business blogs really worth all the hype theyre getting now?"
-Why do search engines link so often to blog pages?"
-How can you effectively use [blogs for] business and also keep the 'bad' stuff from being posted?"

Blogs, or Weblogs, represent the latest trend in online content management. Blogs enable those responsible for a Web site to easily publish and syndicate fresh, new content via an easy-to-use Web interface. The content can either be viewed on a Web page (i.e. the blog itself) or on a subscribers desktop via newsreading (i.e. RSS) software.

As reported last week, the same survey discovered that 69% of marketers believe blogging is more than just a fad. Other questions revealed that 44.7% thought the word blog" was descriptive, while 33% feel the term is just plain silly. 22.3% said the word is ugly.
