June 24, 2004 --- Wedding planning has become a breeze for couples with the official launch of the www.TheWeddingSpot.com , a comprehensive website featuring over 5000 wedding companies, with local listings in all 50 states and over 200 metropolitan areas.

"The launch represents the culmination of over 10 months of research, development, and design," said TheWeddingSpot founder and President Joshua Blinick, 29. "After surveying the on-line wedding landscape, TheWeddingSpot was created to fill the void of quality local and national wedding sites. We believe that at the time of our launch, TheWeddingSpot has become the most comprehensive and useful wedding site, with listings and articles in over 40 categories, rivaling and surpassing many of the existing major sites in content, design, and ease-of-use," he added.

TheWeddingSpot.com, which was founded in September of 2003, addresses the dearth of quality information available to researchers by providing additional information besides the typical address and name. Companies are rated by quality, service, value, and others' willingness to recommend; as well, comments and reviews are shared based on others experiences dealing with a company.

An additional free service offered to couples is the ability to create a personal wedding page that can be used to communicate important information to friends and wedding guests. The components include:

•   How we met page - describes the couple and how they met.
•   Out of Town page - instructs guests on hotel and travel information.
•   RSVP Page - allows friends to RSVP online.
•   Registry Page - couples can provide links to their online registries (or phone numbers and contact information for offline registries).
•   Ceremony/Reception information - includes, date, time, dress, directions, and more.
