República Trading Co., The Premiere Latino-Inspired Apparel Collection, Launches Highly Anticipated, First Ever, Full Menswear Collection For Fall 2004

For Immediate Release

New York (PRWEB) June 25, 2004 -- República Trading Co., is a high end, progressive, mens streetwear collection designed for the lifestyle-minded, trans-cultural trendsetter who appreciates fine details and an exceptional fit. Tailored silhouettes create stylish looks loaded with originality and superb design sensibility. A fresh, polished, chic color palette enhances luxe fabrics, graphics and trims bringing a distinct street savvy style to the existing menswear market.

República has come a long way since the early days when founder Rafael Jimenez began selling hand-screened T-shirts out of his backpack in the Washington Heights section of New York City. From its humble beginnings, more than five years ago, the line has evolved into an incredibly well rounded selection of head-to-toe, luxurious, contemporary menswear. Current product ranges from the companys well-loved T-shirts, to hand made quality woven shirts, cashmere knits, premium denim, motorcross jackets, pin stripe track suits and hats.

Repúblicas Fall 2004 collection is loosely inspired by the film Oceans 11 and consists of three thematic groupings -- The Plan," The Heist" and The Getaway." Two ply wovens, velour, cashmere and buttery leathers are seen in styles that include elements of fine European tailoring mixed with a more traditional American fit. The familiar and iconic Che Guevara makes an appearance on a cashmere, intarsia, camouflage raglan sleeve sweater. The Luxe" tracksuit is cut from supple pinstriped velour, amplified by sexy tuxedo striping. Trousers give way to classic styling, with suspender buttons and a hip contemporary fit. Woven yarn dye shirts offer surprising details on the inside cuff, placket, and collar. Waffleknit thermal shirts, trousers and fedoras are splashed with multi-ethnic, ingenious graphics, as well as hand painted graffiti.

Enjoying its status as the premiere Latino-inspired apparel collection, República is designed with a trans-cultural audience in mind. While demographics and hard statistics come in handy to support his mission, Jimenez relies primarily on his gut instinct and personal experiences when creating a lifestyle product for his ideal customer. The República man, regardless of ethnicity, is street savvy, fashionable, and has an impeccable, yet grounded sense of style. His look is effortless, while he works tirelessly to make progress happen on his own terms.

With eyes toward the future, República has just signed a representation agreement with LA-based licensing agency, Brand Central LLC (www.brandcentralgroup.com) to develop brand extensions into new product categories.

Repúblicas Fall 2004 collection will be available at Bloomingdales, Atrium (NY), Fred Segal (CA), Kitson (CA), True Grit (CA) and Shoe Gallery (FL).
