Campbell, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2004 -- The Miniature Scene, a dollhouse and miniatures store, announced the celebration of its one year anniversary. The celebration is scheduled for July 10, 2004 at the stores retail location: 2470 Winchester Blvd. Suite B, Campbell, CA 94008. Dollhouse Miniatures is the art of creating real-life items and scenes in a smaller scale and is a hobby that appeals to both adults and children.
The creative aspect of making miniatures is immensely satisfying." Owner Kim Walter said. You learn many different skills when creating your own miniature settings. And your finished project becomes an enchanting little world that draws you in."
The most common scale is known as one inch" which means that one inch in miniature equals one foot in life-size but even smaller scales such as half inch" and quarter inch" are also gaining popularity.
The Miniature Scene opened its doors on July 12, 2003. In addition to selling a wide selection of products, the store offers workshops where people can learn how to build dollhouses and roomboxes, how to wire them for electricity, and how to make furniture and accessories using a variety of techniques. It is the only store of its kind in the San Jose area and miniatures enthusiasts are pleased that they now have a place to support their hobby.
We are excited to finally have a miniatures store in the area," said customer and long-time miniaturist Lisa Panken. The workshops are a lot of fun and Kim is always willing to provide help and advice."
