Artistic Nude Photographs Now The Most Requested Service at Kenneth Wajda's Colorado Photography Studio.

When Kenneth Wajda started offering Artistic Nude Photography Sessions three years ago, he thought he was just adding a new service to his photography business. Little did he know that artistic nudes would become the most requested service he offers.

(PRWEB) June 29, 2004 -- Classical nude photographs are becoming extremely popular for wedding, anniversary or holiday gifts as they make a special and unique present for a spouse or lover.

Kenneth Wajda, a professional photographer in southern Colorado, has been shooting commissioned nudes for the past three years and has seen the interest in this form of art grow dramatically. It used to be a rare occurrence when a call would come in, inquiring about a nude session. Now it happens several times a week," Wajda said. "It's the most frequent call we receive."

Clients have come from as far as Chicago for a session. One woman called saying she couldnt find a photographer in Chicago. I told her I didnt have any recommendations and that she could fly out to Colorado. And she did. Many clients are also finding that this is one gift that gives something back--the subject of the photograph is often the one who benefits the most from the experience.

"I've photographed women from age 20-50 and they leave the session feeling empowered at having done the shoot, glad they finally took the step to do it, and many comment and say it wasn't weird at all (after the first few minutes)," said Wajda. "Many also say they'd thought about doing this forever, but didn't know where to begin. And now are glad they have."

Some of Wajda's clients have chosen a nude photograph as a gift to themselves, their reason being to "celebrate my body, capture it as it is right now." Naturally, many people are hesitant at first about displaying their body but the photographs capture the beauty that is already there. "They are always excited to see the results and are amazed when they see the images that their body is so beautiful," Wajda said.

The quality of his work is fine art nude portraiture, not the boudoir style that was popular some years back.

     I wanted a nude picture of myself for my husband. I didn't want anything cheesy or sleazy, but rather something classy and artistic. I considered myself as having a fairly decent body and also felt that having some nude photos of myself at this time in my life, (I am 36 years old), to be something worth the while.

     I began seeking out photographers for my endeavor. I began by calling photographers listed in the yellow pages in my area. This really wasn't the way to go about finding a photographer, very impersonal and time consuming. I'd have to meet and talk and also look at their work. Most were inexperienced in doing nudes all together.

     The next step, the internet. Not only could I look for a photographer, but I could also look at different types of nudes (that weren't of the sleazy nature). This is where I found Kenneth Wajda's web page, Request a Nude. I was impressed with the content on the page.

     I liked his photos and the layout of his web page. I e-mailed him about my interest in having nude photos taken of myself. We began a friendly correspondence via e-mail. We exchanged two or three e-mails then set up a time to talk on the telephone. Kenneth also gave me some additional web sites with artistic nudes to look at and ponder over.

     We e-mailed and talked a few more times on the phone and then set up a concrete date for me to come to his studio. I drove several hours to his studio, feeling both anxious and excited during the drive. When I arrived at his home we talked for about 15 minutes or so, Kenneth was very patient in making sure that I felt comfortable. I brought a robe with me and changed into the robe for the photo session. His studio was very comfortable and professional.

     When I was ready we begin the photo session. It lasted about 2 and half hours. I felt comfortable the whole time. Please note that I was always instructed to move a certain way, there was never any physical contact, which was a challenge at times when he wanted me in a certain pose and I thought, "Hey just move my arm or leg where you want it," but I finally figured out where he wanted me to move through verbal communication.

     After the photo session, Kenneth took the time to show me the photos on his computer. I was REALLY impressed. We talked about how successful the session was; I really enjoyed it! I left with great anticipation of him showing me some of the final proofs (he would touch up, crop, add artistic touch, etc.) for me to view (via a personal web page).

     A day or two later I was able to see the photos. I loved most of them. I choose a few of the photos for him to send to me for my keeping. He selected a few to use for his portfolio.

     We still keep in touch, and I plan to have more nude photos made, of my husband, newborn baby and myself, by Kenneth. I look forward to modeling for him again!"

As a photographer in considerable demand, Wajda is now taking his photo studio on the road. While he's been offering location sessions throughout Colorado and New Mexico, for clients willing to cover travel costs, he is scheduling location shoots throughout the rest of the U.S.
