Ohio ESGR Committee to Salute National Guardsmen, Reservists and their Supportive Employers

Patriotic event at the Clarion Hotel in Independence, Ohio to salute Cleveland Area employers of National Guardsmen and Reservists.

Arlington, VA (PRWEB) June 26, 2004 -- The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced today that the Ohio ESGR Committee will salute Ohio National Guardsmen, Reservists and their supportive employers on Wednesday, July 21st at the Clarion Hotel, 5300 Rockside Road, in Independence, Ohio.

Saluting Americas Employers is the right thing to do, and this is the right time to do it", said Bob Hollingsworth, ESGR Executive Director. Many of Ohios employers have gone above and beyond in their support of their employees who serve in the states National Guard and Reserve". He added that ESGR representatives will provide employers information to ensure compliance with the USERRA Laws, as well as suggestions on how best to manage their employees who serve their country in the Ohio National Guard and Reserve.

ESGR will bring to Independence a NASCAR show car, known as Americas Car" which will be displayed at the Clarion Hotel. This authentic NASCAR car, configured for racing, is complete with a 700HP engine will be on display from 10:30am to 3:00pm. All residents of the greater Cleveland area are invited to have their picture taken with Americas Car", and to sign their names to several large Support our Troops" banners to demonstrate their continued support for our deployed troops.

The goal is to gather 1.2 million signatures nationally, one for every member of the National Guard and Reserve. These banners will be sent to our servicemen and women stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia and elsewhere in the world.

Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a Department of Defense volunteer organization. ESGR provides free education, consultation, and if necessary mediation for employers of Guard and Reserve employees.
