Russian Women 'Center Of Attention At AFI Silver Theater in Silver Spring

Silver Spring, MD (PRWEB) June 25, 2004 -- More than one hundred married Russian/American couples, Russian brides and engaged brides-to-be will gather at the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring, MD for a special screening of award winning film Postmark Paradise. The movie depicts the story of a so-called Russian mail-order bride who comes to a small Michigan town in order to marry the American man of her dreams." International matchmaker, Natasha Spivack, Founder and President of Bethesda-based Encounters International, introduced all those attending the invitation-only screening.

Spivack served as a consultant to the producers of Postmark Paradise. We have been invited to screen the movie and judge the situations that most people do not even know exist. Of course, my clients are not a typical audience. We know first hand the reality from the artistic license used in the film. After all, each one of us has lived the real version of bringing a soul mate to this country," said Spivack.

Following the screening, the invited guests will share their thoughts with the producers and screenwriters of Postmark Paradise. This is the first event of its kind. It will allow guests that have not found their match yet to experience the 'Russian Bride phenomenon in fiction and real life without having to travel to Russia-where it actually begins.

The program of the festivities includes pre-screening wine and cheese reception starting at 5:30 p.m. The Postmark Paradise film screening is at 6:00 p.m. The post-screening diner and interaction begins at 7:45 p.m.
