Miramar Ad Specialty Firm Focuses on Hispanic Market

SD Graphics Marketing Founder Zinnia Santos Says Time is Now" To Capture Share of Growing Market, Realize Untapped Potential

Miramar, FL (PRWEB) June 29, 2004 -- After spending more than a decade helping major corporations gain entry into the booming Hispanic market, Miramar entrepreneur Zinnia Santos is establishing her own niche with the founding of SD Graphics Marketing, a company that creates specialty advertising products for organizations hoping to tap the enormous market potential represented by the fast-growing Hispanic population in the United States.

Santos, whose recent clients include such organizations as the Discovery Channel and Volkswagen, for whom she produced gear for a contest in Latin America, said she decided to strike out on her own because, the timing is right." Santos sited major studies showing historic and projected growth in the U.S. Hispanic population, along with data suggesting that this booming market segment has historically been underserved. There is so much potential out there right now," she said, referring to the Hispanic marketplace, and companies of all kinds are really starting to take notice. We want to help them turn that potential into new business."

Santos has a long and successful track record in advertising, along with an in-depth understanding of the Hispanic market. She was selected by renowned producer Claudia Garcia to develop the creative campaign and corporate identity program for the TV show La Mujer de Hoy 1995-96." Garcia is also well-known for her work on a variety of television shows, including Sabado Gigante," Sevcec" and Buen Provecho."

Santos has led the development of specialty advertising campaigns for a number of local and international firms, including BMWs Mini Cooper, Seminole Hard Rock Cafe, The Orange Bowl, Florida Panthers, and BMW Motorcycles, among others.

As far back as 1992, Santos was actively involved in developing public relations campaigns for several companies introducing products to the Hispanic market, including M&M, Lays Potato Chips, Cappio, Shake & Bake and Honey Bunches of Oats cereals.

For all of her successes, Santos sites a recent campaign as her most rewarding: I had the opportunity to produce gear for the American Legacy Foundations Truth" campaign, and met some wonderful people, all of whom were committed to reducing tobacco use among young people. Any time you can use your skills to make a difference, its the right thing to do; so I was honored to be a part of the Truth" campaign."

Santos says she has been inspired by, and feels she is following in the footsteps of, a number of strong Hispanic women in advertising who have paved the way for women and for the community." Her mentors include Ana María Fernández-Haar of The IAC Group; Aida Levitan of Publicis Sanchez & Levitan; and Tere Zubizarreta of Zubi Advertising. I just hope I can be as successful as these women have been; and maybe I can inspire other Hispanic women and make a difference in someones life, as these women have inspired me," she stated.

Joining Santos in her efforts and helping expand the companys reach is vice president of business development Juan Diaz, whose experience in the information technology and telecommunications industries adds a great deal to the organization," said Santos, who called Diaz a visionary who has devised and implemented many of the strategies that have helped us get off to a fast start." Prior to joining SD Graphics Marketing, Diaz was a partner and one of the founders of jLan Technologies, where he signed major accounts such as Pro Player Stadium and Clear Channel Communications. We are very fortunate to have Juans talents as part of our arsenal, and I am thrilled he chose to become part of the team," Santos continued.
