About Forestdale:   
Formerly the Brooklyn Home For Children, Forestdale, Inc., a non-profit child welfare agency in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, provides children who lack a stable home life with quality care, education, training and opportunities that every wise parent wishes for their own children.

The agency provides foster care, adoption services, a preventive services program, and a fathering initiative that works with non-custodial fathers.

Forestdale currently has approximately 300 children, placed in foster care throughout Queens. Our children range in age from birth to 20 years old. We also serve approximately 300 families in other programs.

Forestdale has ranked in the top 5 foster care agencies for 3 years in a row, by the New York City Administration for Childrens Services evaluation. In 2002, Forestdale ranked 1st, and ranked 2nd in the most recent evaluation, for 2003.
