Ignoring the issues, complacent Blacks vote Democrat

African American voters are taken for granted by the Democratic Party

This is the claim of the new book, “Black Power: strategies for achieving and utilizing power in America.” African Americans vote Democrat irregardless of what the candidate stands for. They need to be asking the Democrats, “What have you done for me lately?” George Bush pushed legislation that was supported by those who voted for him. What exactly did Bill Clinton do for the African American community? Yet they voted to reelect him like he was one of their own.

The book goes on to state “…the Klan sometimes votes Democrat sometimes Republican. They cast their vote for the candidate that supports their issues. Whereas African Americans vote for any Democrat that is running for office, regardless of what he stands for.

“This is a serious deterrent for Blacks achieving political power in the U.S.,” states the books author Michael Alan Townsend. “African Americans need to imitate other groups and make politicians earn their vote. If African Americans learn to switch their votes strategically, both parties will become dependant on them and will cater more to there needs. Otherwise it will be more of the same. If you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll keep getting what you’ve been getting.”

This is just one of the many strategies detailed in this book. The book “Black Power: strategies for achieving and utilizing power in America” is available at the publishers website bronxvillage.com for $9.95.
