Concerts for Kerry to Rock Phoenix Arizona with a July 21st Fundraiser
Let America be America Again - and ROCK!
PHOENIX, AZ (PRWEB) June 26, 2004 -- Local bands, DJs, dancers and comedians will come together for Phoenix's first Concert for Kerry, a fund raiser to support presidential candidate, Senator John Kerry on Wednesday, July 21st. The concert will run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 702 Downtown, a popular central Phoenix venue.
Organized locally by State Representative Ken Clark and a group of dedicated Kerry volunteers as an 18 and over show, this special event will raise funds, register voters and promote awareness of the importance of the November election.
"This is only the first of a series of great shows this year," said Clark. The acts in this show represent a diverse collection of styles that will appeal to all fans of live music and the performing arts."
Bands include local headliners Budget Sinatra, Lisa Marmur and her band, Rum Tenor, Mergatron and DJ Sean Morely. Other performers will include the Scorpius Dance Troupe and touring local comedians.
"I'm very excited to be a part of this event. it's definitely time for a change in this country and this is the starting point. This show will be great!," said Trixie D'lish of Budget Sinatra.
Guests can purchase tickets for $10 before the show on www.concertsforkerry.org or for $15 at the door. 702 Downtown will also offer $2 Heineken beers from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
