Web Site Lets You Vote with Your Toilet

Gag Gift Aims To Lighten Partisan Campaign Using Toilet Paper

Detroit, MI (PRWEB) June 27, 2004 -- Need more convincing that Republicans and Democrats are more polarized than ever? A Michigan man has paper on it -- two separate papers, actually.

James Wilson, a 31-year-old Web entrepreneur, is selling toilet paper decorated with the smiling faces of either President George W. Bush or Sen. John Kerry. At the moment, Bush is outselling Kerry by 70 percent.

"It's not meant to be mean spirited towards either candidate," insists Wilson, whose site, Toiletpolitics.com, has been up since late January. Wilson got the idea after reading about the success of the talking Bush action figure and the Bill Clinton growing nose wristwatch.

"My wife thought the idea was crazy at first," he says. "She finally caved in and said, you may be on to something." Wilson is also quick to point out that the tissue isn't intended for personal hygiene use, because the ink may run.

As they say in politics, it could lead to a smear campaign. For more information, visit www.ToiletPolitics.com
