NBA DRAFT Rafael Araujo of gets picked 8th overall by TORONTO RAPTORS.
Rafael Araujo the senior from BYU increased his draft status working on his speed and strength training in Los Angles, California with Glen Reyes of West Coast Sports Training LLC
(PRWEB) June 29, 2004 -- BYU center Rafael Araujo moved to Los Angeles in early April after having a great senior season and playing well in the NCAA tournament. Rafael came to Los Angles to train with Glen Reyes of West Coast Sports Training in Canoga Park California. At The end of the season Rafael was was supposed to be drafted any where between the 16 and 24 selection according to NBA mock drafts. The 6'11 280 lbs. center was to slow and did not jump very well according to NBA scouts. But for six weeks he focused on his speed, strength and conditioning.
Glen Reyes filmed Rafael runnning and jumping and biomechanically analized his movements. Rafael Araujo increased his speed, quickness and jumping ability which helpped him dominate team workouts. He destoyed quicker and more athletic players which elavated his draft status prior to the '04 NBA draft. TORONTO RAPTORS selected Rafael Araujo C BYU with the 8th pick over all in the NBA draft. Rafael increased his speed, quickenss and jumping ability and is now closer to 300 lbs. and stronger.
