Howard Hospital Partners with Sugar's Babies to Distinguish Nursery

The nations largest African American hospital partners with minority business to produce culturally sensitive keepsakes.

(PRWEB) June 30, 2004 -- Howard University Hospital contracted Sugars Babies, LLC to provide a specialized keepsake to commemorate every birth at the hospital. Sugars Babies, which specializes in nursery décor and accessories for children of color, will also assist in updating the hospitals nursery linens with their high-quality flannel blankets.

Each new mom at Howard Hospital will be given a Sugars Babies receiving blanket and T-shirt customized with the companys signature Snoozing Baby" design and will read Special Delivery by Howard University Hospital."

For 138 years, Howard University Hospital has existed and participated in innovative clinical medicine. Founded as Freedmens Hospital in 1862, its initial purpose was to provide healthcare for newly freed slaves. HUH is the only African American academic and comprehensive healthcare center in the country.
