ByteWedge has been released!

Inputs serial data directly into any database

(PRWEB) July 1, 2004 -- ByteWedge inputs serial data directly into any type of database. It collects data from Telephone Systems, Scales and Balances, Gauges, pH/Electrochemistry Meters, Laboratory Instruments, Sensors, Densitometers, GPS Receivers, Barcode Scanners, Magnetic Stripe readers, ID Tag Readers, etc. - or any other RS232 equipped device.

ByteWedge inputs real-time data directly into EXCEL, ACCESS, MSSQL, etc. - which means into any type of database via ODBC or OLE.

ByteWedge captures serial data, custom tailors it to your needs, then transfers the data to any database- by passing the data via ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) conversations or through DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) or OLE (Excel only).

Features:
Supports up to 255 COM Ports simultaneously.
Supports ASCII serial data.
Supports export data to MS Access, MSSQL, etc. - or any type of database via ODBC.
Supports export data to Excel via OLE.
Supports export data to any Windows application via DDE.
Supports advanced data parsing, filtering of any type or structure of data even if it be very complex.
etc...

Easily inputs data from any disk file directly into any type of database or Windows application. When used, it functions just like ByteWedge except that data is read from a disk file instead of a serial port.
