London,UK -- On July 1st, boutique web design agency Zebedee Creations, launched The Web Clinic, the first telephone hotline to provide straightforward, practical website advice for small business. The hotline aims to meet the needs of the thousands of sole traders and small businesses who have a website but no in-house techie. Frustrated business owners will call the national rate number and be given advice on how to fix the problem or, if they want The Web Clinic to do it for them, they will be given an on the spot quote. The aim is to provide simple, practical website advice that doesn’t cost a fortune.

The Web Clinic resulted from research which highlighted the plight of small business owners who had websites that were not working and who did not know where to turn for help. “ There is a real gap in the market for an affordable, straight talking advice line to help businesses who have a website but who don’t have a web agency or in-house technical support” said Florence Hughes, Managing Director of Zebedee Creations. “ Who do people call if their website is down or they can’t figure out their hosting situation or they want to know why they are not ranking in the search engines? A company’s website should be working for them not providing them with a continual headache.”

The Web Clinic Hotline is staffed by a team of web experts with years of experience but more importantly they say that they remember what it was like when they weren’t experts. “ Technogeekeese is banned” says Karen Oliver, one of the Web Clinic experts, “we want to make sure that people understand what is going on and what needs to be done by the end of the call.”
