Patriots for Gore PAC Endorses Al Gore For President in 2004

Patriots for Gore, a Federal PAC established in January 2004 to support social issues of importance for all Americans, and to support the vision of Albert Gore Jr. the elected President of 2000, announce their endorsement of him for President in 2004.

Auburn, IL (PRWEB) July 4, 2004 -- Patriots for Gore, a PAC established in January 2004 to support VP Gore and the social issues that are important to America, is announcing their endorsement of Albert Gore Jr. for President via this press release.

To the Democratic Party, and the American people:

We at Patriots for Gore hereby endorse Albert Gore Jr., former Vice President of the United States of America and the elected President of 2000 for President in 2004. It has become clear that Al Gore is the voice of reason in the sea of madness that now pervades the landscape of America. His courageous speeches that tell the truth about the erosion of our Democracy under the Bush administration have been a wake up call for many Americans and a clarion call for justice. As America's Vice President for eight years presiding over a period of relative peace and prosperity, and as a representative of the people of Tennessee for 17 years, Al Gore proved himself to be a man of great strength, knowledge and caring. As we now face the most challenging times this nation has ever faced, this nation will need a leader that possesses those qualities that Al Gore exemplifies. This nation will need a leader that possesses both spiritual and moral strength, a leader not out of touch with the needs of our people, and a leader who is well respected in the international community. And most importantly, this nation will need a leader who can bring forth the truth with passion and courage, and lead our nation with moral clarity according to the rule of law. That leader is Albert Gore Jr.

Therefore, while we as Americans who believe in justice, liberty, and freedom make a pledge to vote for the Democratic candidate to defeat the amoral Bush administration to hopefully bring America back on the road to respectability in the world and prosperity for all Americans, our consciences can only endorse the one man who we believe can lead us there and heal our nation. We therefore, do not endorse John Kerry for President. We do not endorse his policy of continuing the war in Iraq. We do not endorse his statement to send more troops to Iraq. We do not endorse his support of the Patriot Act, or his silence about its total repeal. We do not endorse his stance regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which we believe has been the seed of much of the terrorism we see in the world today. We do not endorse his policy of moving to the center of the Democratic Party to alienate the base of the Democratic Party. We do not endorse his reticence at speaking plainly and truthfully about the betrayal of this country at the hands of the Bush administration, that has done nothing but lie to the American people from the day they usurped our Democratic process four years ago, with the blessings of a majority in Congress who did nothing to stand up against it. While we respect Senator Kerry's service to this nation both as a soldier and a Senator, we do not believe he has the spiritual strength to lead this nation through these turbulent times. We also do not endorse the same status quo that these major candidates represent, which keeps the voices of many Americans from being heard.

As the 2000 election illustrated, our country was the victim of a judicial coup that not only robbed us of our voice, our vote, and our unity, but our President. The information that proves this however, has been silenced by our government and our media. We at Patriots for Gore endorse Albert Gore Jr. to be our President, because he is the peoples' choice, and because we also believe he is still the choice of many who believe they must simply conform to a party platform rather than take the initiative for real change. We are disillusioned with a Democratic Party that still insists on ignoring the facts regarding this theft and the effect it has had on current events, and in enabling George W. Bush and his minions to destroy the principles this country was built on. In the words of Thomas Jefferson, we at Patriots for Gore also believe that, "We are bound, you, I, and every one to make common cause, even with error itself, to maintain the common right of freedom of conscience." We will not be dissuaded from our goal to fight for Albert Gore Jr. and his forward vision for America, and to stand for Democracy, justice, truth, and liberty for the people.

We then also call on all delegates to the Democratic National Convention to look into their hearts and souls and truly think about what they want for the future. For true change can no longer come at the price of our Representative Democracy. The current situation this world is in goes beyond conventions, balloons and platforms. True change can only come when the hearts and souls of all Americans can face the past head on with courage to act in seeking justice for it, in order to bring us into a future free from the complacency that now sorrowfully has led us down the road to disaster. This can be accomplished at the Democratic National Convention if the people truly speak their hearts to make history. While we hope for a convention that does this and also support the defeat of the Bush administration with every fiber of our being, we believe that under current conditions this is not possible unless bold steps are taken. Patriots for Gore intend to take those steps in the coming months, starting with the endorsement of Albert Gore Jr. for President.
