Beehive Systems Enters Middle East; Receives First Order

Beehive Systems, an ISO 9001: 2000 certified software and solutions company focusing on the broadcast industry has received its first sales order from the Middle East from Procast FZ LLC, a Dubai-based broadcasting company.

(PRWEB) July 3, 2004 -- Beehive Systems, an ISO 9001: 2000 certified software and solutions company focusing on the broadcast industry has received its first sales order from the Middle East from Procast FZ LLC, a Dubai-based broadcasting company.

The order includes Beehives digital newsgathering solutions -- vidlink and vidlinkMOBILE; a complete graphics creation and data automation solution called islewiz and an interactive SMS-TV custom solution called mobile2TV.

The customer will be using vidlink for newsgathering from across bureaus. The system will enable the channel to send live as well as store and forward video clips over leased line networks.

The laptop-based mobile newsgathering equipment, vidlinkMOBILE will be deployed by the client at remote locations for store and forward video transfer over non-conventional mediums like ISDN, dial up internet connections, etc. The advanced codec used in vidlink mobile compresses the video almost 70% more efficiently than other compression standards without compromising on the quality.

The cost of transferring the video from remote locations is extremely low compared to traditional mediums like VSAT, leased lines, etc.
The graphics content creation and automation solution, islewiz, will be used to automatically create, manage and play out graphics in Arabic. This tool also enables real-time integration of the graphics with data sources and display across multiple zones on the screen without the need for any programming. Other features of islewiz include generation of live multilingual tickers (including Arabic), creation of libraries of elements (text, images and animations) to drag and drop into the scene, sequencing the display of graphics based on timelines.

The fourth application -- mobile2TV - will permit the broadcaster to build in interactivity in television programmes by integrating viewers mobile messages with video display. This allows viewers the benefits of on-air chat.
