Startup Florida Relocates Incubator To Ellis Building in Downtown Sarasota, Florida

Move Officially Set For September 1st, 2004

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) July 6, 2004 -- Startup Florida, a high-tech incubator and venture fund located in Sarasota, Florida, today announced an interim move to larger offices and an official relocation of the firm's incubator facility to the Bank of America building in September. Startup Florida currently occupies temporary space at 130 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Florida.

Startup Florida recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Startup Florida Dinner Club, which has invested in two high-tech startups. The fund's second investment, which was concluded in June 2004, required expansion to a larger facility, as the latest portfolio company is relocating from Maitland, Florida to Sarasota, Florida.

"Our previous facilities at 650 Central Avenue in the Rosemary District were an ideal place to start the incubator project", said Rich Swier, Managing Partner of Startup Florida. "However, with only 1500 square feet, it just could no longer maintain a workable environment for Startup Florida's, Highwall Technologies', and Real Digital Media's (RDM) operational needs."

The new facility at the Ellis Building will better serve the infrastructure needs for the current tenants, as well as support future growth or inclusion of additional companies.

"We're excited about the move to the Ellis Building," said Ken Goldberg, CEO of Real Digital Media. "The incubator contains two companies entering a growth phase. Having a space that better supports client, partner, and investor relations is essential to this stage of business."

Startup Florida Investments

Startup Florida is currently managing investments in Highwall Technologies, which provides wireless products that detect and locate rogue wireless devices and enable the management and security of wireless and wired networks, and Real Digital Media, which provides next generation digital signage technology for out-of-home and point-of-purchase marketing and promotions.
