Carrie Fisher Headlines Southern California Professional Womens Roundtable 2nd Annual Womens Conference

Carrie Fisher will be the keynote speaker at Professional Womens Roundtable 2nd annual one-day womens business conference and expo on Sept. 24 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula Valley Wine Country. Early-bird registration discounts end July 15.

TEMECULA, CA (PRWEB) July 6, 2004 -- Film and television actress, scriptwriter and best-selling author Carrie Fisher will be the keynote speaker at the 2nd Annual Womens Conference, "Women in Business Achieving Success," presented by Professional Womens Roundtable (PWR), Elena Medo, chief executive officer of the Southern California organization, today announced.

As many as 1000 women and men are expected to attend this years combined conference and expo to be held September 24, 2004, at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula Valley Wine Country. The event will feature a full day of nationally recognized speakers, educational workshops, and exhibits by more than 70 businesses, along with a luncheon featuring Fisher.

Early-bird registration rates, effective through July 15, are $99 for sponsors and PWR members, $120 for non-members. Rates after July 15 will be $130 and $150, respectively. Admission includes the luncheon, a choice of two workshops, and access to the exhibit area.

Fisher, a veteran of more than 40 films and numerous television appearances, has achieved many creative successes since her early starring roles in "Shampoo" and the Star Wars trilogy. A talented scriptwriter and one of the most sought-after "script doctors" in Hollywood, shes currently developing a TV series for Universal Studios and two film comedies for Walt Disney Pictures and Working Title Pictures. Fisher also is host of "Conversations From The Edge" on Oxygen Network, a talk show featuring one-on-one candid interviews with famous people.
