Indican Spins into L.A. Twister!!

The first ever interactive independent film! Indican Pictures announces the acquisition of Sven Papes satire on friendship and greed. L.A. TWISTER follows two friends in their quest for fame, love, fortune and the meaning of life.

(PRWEB) July 6, 2004 -- Opening late summer 2004 Indican Pictures will release the film in the top markets throughout the U.S. However, the real story starts now, as the editor of James Cameron's recent IMAX film Ghosts of the Abyss" has created the first Interactive independent film. How has he done this? By creating a play that will open Off-Broadway and in an Equity waiver house, The Hollywood Fight Club in Los Angeles. This play is actually a prequel to the film itself.

The momentum has already started. We originally had 800 viewers who voted during the open auditions and today with have thousands of viewers watching the rehearsals every day as the entire production including rehearsals is being broadcast throughout the world wide web. Logged in audience members chose which actors would debut the premiere of the play starting May 28th and then in Los Angeles on June 5th plus they give feedback to the actors through watching the rehearsals. On 5/28 Cast #1 will premiere the play on stage followed by Cast #2 a week later on 6/4. After the two versions of the play/prequel premiere, audience members will have five (5) days to choose which play performers will go on to join the ALL STAR VERSION. The final selections will be chosen from a pool of audience members that is expected to hit over 3 million!!

After making their selections, the web audience will be able to watch the All-Star Cast rehearse for two weeks and then perform the Grand Finale on June 28th. The films lead actor, Resident Evil 2s Zack Ward and Golden Globe winner Susan Blakely will headline the All Star Cast for the Grand Finale performance on 6/28. Live Cameras will tape the Grand Finale and then follow the actors right from the stage to the star studded premiere of L.A. TWISTER at Mann's Chinese theater!!

A month later the film will open to the general public.

The cast of the film includes: Colleen Camp (Police Academy, Apocalypse Now), Susan Blakely (Rich Man, Poor Man, Golden Globe Winner), Zack Ward (Christmas Story, Resident Evil 2), Sarah Thompson (Angel, In the Line of Fire) and more! LA Twister is the follow up film from the visually stunning Better Luck Tomorrows" D.P., Patrice Cochet. This film marks another great achievement.
