On this day, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the selection of St Kitts and Nevis as one of the eight venues chosen to host the 2007 Cricket World Cup. Ehsan Mani, ICC President and Teddy Griffith, West Indies Cricket Board President took turns announcing the host venues for the 2007 Cricket World Cup via an audio-visual presentation which was broadcast live from the Ramada Plaza Hotel in London, England.
