The products in the suite include the MacroMatrix SOLO Solution, targeted towards the stand-alone digital signage installations. The SOLO solution, which includes a combined Player and Control Software, can run from a single PC connected to a LCD, Plasma Display or other display units. The ideal locations for these stand-alone applications include convenience stores, fast food outlets, trade show booths, corporate lobbies and financial institutions. Improved functionality, Ease-of-Use and powerful content scheduling and playlist creation features have been incorporated in the new release. The MacroMatrix Player Software includes support for industry standard multimedia file formats like FlashTM, Mpeg Video, AVI, etc., and image file support for .gif and .jpeg formats. The software allows configuration of multiple layouts with up to six play zones, which include text-based Horizontal and Vertical Scrollers for News and Sports information, a dynamic-clock banner, branding and weather zones. The combination of these six available zones including a full-screen banner allows maximum use of the available screen real estate. The other upgraded versions include the MacroMatrix Enterprise Solution: a powerful software for display, control and distribution of content across a wide network, typically used for a nation-wide roll-out of a Digital Media Network and the MacroMatrix LAN Solution: a local network of players and appropriate displays for smaller installations, which are best suited for Corporate Networks, In-House or building based Networks like Malls, Exhibitions, Airports, etc.
Prabhu M Venkatesh, President & CEO of Macroworx Media says, Our unique approach to be a leader in the Narrowcasting Market is distinctively evident in the way our products have been built around the latest and best technologies and keeping the end-user and the target audience in mind. With this launch of our new versions, we hope to become an important player in the global Dynamic Digital Signage and Narrowcasting market. Our roadmap includes an aggressive marketing campaign in the North American and European countries through a network of Distributors and VARs."
Macroworx Media also announced the launch of the MacroPilot program, which essentially allows a customer to completely try-out the companys software and services before a large-scale rollout. The companys services include design and development of multimedia content to be run on a clients network, combined with the media management offering for total network management, which includes the delivery and scheduling of content on a subscription basis. There is a plethora of digital signage solutions in the market and potential users are confused about which solution is the best fit for their application. Our MacroPilot program is aimed at these potential clients, who are seriously planning a digital media network, to try out our software and services at a very low-cost on a pilot basis. Macroworx will provide a short-term license on the software and simultaneously provide content development and network management services for a limited period at a fraction of the regular cost" explained Prabhu Venkatesh.
The company simultaneously announced the launch of the MacroMatrix LIVEMAX Video Solution: a software add-on which can interface with any of the Macroworx software products to enable Live Video input from Cable TV, S-Video Inputs, connect and control DVD Players and other External Playback Equipment. Live Video can be scheduled weeks or months in advance to toggle between the local playlist and the Live Video Events at pre-defined times based on a schedule. This solution was launched primarily for the companys European customers who wanted to enable Live Television broadcast of the Euro 2004 Soccer event on their existing digital signage installations.
The LIVEMAX software switched over seamlessly to soccer matches, which were scheduled weeks in advance, and went back to paid advertising content at the end of the scheduled live feed. But, most importantly, the software works with off the shelf TV-Tuner cards, which enabled us to upgrade the hardware at a very low-cost" says Venkatesh.
